Overview
Enzo (named for Lorenzo, who spent a semester dedicated entirely to its construction) is not a rocket, but we thought our autonomous robotic antenna stand deserved a bio, too. The stand receives real-time GPS and altitude data from our onboard transmitter and moves two motors, pointing our antenna directly at the rocket. It came in handy at the FAR 51025 competition, receiving live video from the rocket and making it much easier to recover the rocket after landing.
- Frame Material: 80-20 Aluminum
- Usage: Real-time tracking and antenna rotation for better GPS communications with the rocket
- First Successful Operation: June 2022 @ FAR 51025
