Overview

By far our most ambitious project, our hybrid rocket has been in development since the 2017-2018 school year. It’s designed to go to 30,000 feet on a student-designed-and-manufactured engine! We had successful cold flow and hot fire tests in 2019, followed by a redesign based on data we collected in those tests. After a Covid slowdown, we’re picking up where we left off, with plans for a second hot fire in 2022.
